Our Story

Where it all began

I

Chapter OneHow We Met

Tracy and Davis first crossed paths as colleagues at Oracle — Tracy supporting the sales team from marketing, Davis standing out as one of the company's top performers. It was only after they had both moved on — Tracy into marketing at Teleperformance, Davis into sales at AWS — that the two truly connected. Davis kept inviting her for coffee; she kept politely declining. By the time she finally said yes, coffee had become dinner — and Davis will tell you persistence pays off.

Chapter TwoFalling in Love

After months of talking and getting to know one another, Davis officially asked Tracy out on 20 December 2022 — and what was meant to be a simple dinner became something much more. Conversation flowed for hours as they discovered just how much they shared — the same faith, values, sense of humour and dreams for the future. One date became many, and friendship quietly grew into love.

Chapter ThreeThe Proposal

In Cape Town, at The Rock, Davis asked. That morning, Tracy had woken unusually emotional — feeling, somehow, that God was preparing her heart for something. She had always hoped for a proposal that was private, beautifully captured, and woven into the travels they love, and Davis delivered every bit of it — down to the perfect ring, in the perfect size. She said yes.

Chapter FourThe Traditional Wedding

Then came the traditional ceremony — a day of blessing, laughter and joy as their two families came together and simply gelled. Watching it unfold confirmed what Tracy and Davis already knew: this was always meant to be.

Chapter FiveAnd Now

Three years, nine months and thirteen days after that first dinner, Tracy and Davis will say “I do” on 3 October 2026, surrounded by the people they love most. They can't wait to celebrate the beginning of forever with you.

Travel & Stay

Welcome to Nairobi

Getting Here

If you're travelling from outside Kenya, fly into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Visitors who need a visa can apply for the e-visa at etakenya.go.ke.

From the airport, book a taxi with the Uber or Bolt app — both show you the price before the journey starts. We recommend downloading Uber before your visit for easy access around the city.

October in Nairobi

Expect warm, sunny days and pleasant temperatures. Pack sunglasses, a light layer for the evening — and your best dance moves.

For convenience and proximity to the venue, we suggest staying in Karen, Lang'ata or Lavington. Airbnb and Booking.com both have lovely options in these neighbourhoods.
